Sexual Harassment Lawsuit Settled in Case Against Greenleaf
A lawsuit alleging sexual harassment in the workplace of a Nevada-based cannabis company has been settled in federal court. The company, Greenleaf Wellness Inc., was facing a sexual harassment lawsuit alleging that a manager at Greenleaf sexually harassed a former employee. The sexual harassment allegation continued on to say that after his sexual harassment advances were refused, he retaliated against her by firing her.
This sexual harassment lawsuit was dismissed on Wednesday, following a neutral evaluation in May in which a settlement was negotiated with the sexual harassment lawyers for the sexual harassment case and the terms were sealed.
The alleged victim, Danielle Hardy, sued the cannabis company in December on the basis of sexual harassment for “unwanted touching and sexual comments from a manager throughout the approximately two months she worked at Greenleaf in late 2018 and early 2019,” according to a sexual harassment article published in Law360.
The article went on to state that “In her complaint, Hardy sought unspecified damages and an injunction requiring Greenleaf to implement and enforce a policy against sexual harassment and retaliation.”
Danielle Hardy was unfortunately a victim of sexual harassment, but luckily there are sexual harassment lawyers available to advocate for those that have faced sexual harassment in the workplace.
